| Visitor, the Indiana Green Party 2024 Presidential Primary is fast approaching and we want you to join us in deciding our votes at the Green Party US Presidential Nominating Convention. To receive a ballot you will need to be registered with the Indiana Green Party by Friday, May 10th. Becoming a member of our statewide party is super easy. Once registered you will receive an email ballot on May 24th from OpaVote. Voting will be open until our May 30th Monthly ZOOM meeting where the results will be tabulated. Across the US our Green Movement is gaining phenomenal and unprecedented momentum. That makes right now the best opportunity to join us in making this expansion in our democracy. If you are unsure if your membership is up to date, please contact us and our wonderful documentarian James will get back to you. | | Indiana Green Party Primary Register by May 10th to Vote! | | As a minor political party in Indiana, the Indiana Green Party does not participate in the primary elections that the two major parties hold. Instead, we will be holding our own internal presidential primary that is completely independent. The Indiana Green Party has four (4) voting delegates to the Green Party US 2024 Presidential Nominating Convention. The allocation of those delegates for our state will be determined by an online ranked choice vote that will take place from Friday, May 24, 2024 at Noon Eastern / 11am Central to Thursday, May 30, 2024 at 8:30pm Eastern / 7:30pm Central. All Indiana residents who are registered with the Indiana Green Party by Friday, May 10, 2024 are eligible to receive a voting link via email. The election results will be revealed at the Indiana Green Party monthly ZOOM on Thursday, May 30th 8:30pm Eastern / 7:30pm Central.
Voting in the Indiana Green Party primary will be for members of the Indiana Green Party. Information on joining the Indiana Green Party can be found on our Membership Page. You do not have to be a registered voter in order to receive a ballot in the Indiana Green Party Primary, however you will need to be a resident of Indiana. Deadline for joining the party or renewing your yearly membership is Friday, May 10, 2024 11pm Eastern / 10pm Central.

During the call the ranked choice voting results will be completed and the allocation of our 4 delegates will the calculated - live! If you don't see one in your area and would be interesting in organizing a gathering send us an email or contact us through the website. | | Green Party of Northeast Indiana The Green Party of Northeast Indiana (GPNEIN) has been working with local activists against a draft air permit for a new data center being planned in Fort Wayne. The permit allows for 34 diesel emergency generators capable of producing a combined 897 MMBTU per hour (that's over 262,000 Kilowatts). They are currently trying to get IDEM to hold a public comment hearing in Fort Wayne on the draft air permit. Find out more at their linktree. The next gathering of the GPNEIN is being planned, find them on facebook to get updates when they are available.
| In the month of May, the Vigo County Green Party has plans to canvass for one of the Green Party's presidential campaigns on May 7, 2024 [LINK; report forthcoming] and various other events until June 29 [LINK]. Plans still in the future are running local candidates in 2024 [LINK] to help grow the Green Party in 2024 and in the future.
| | | The Northwest Indiana Green Party is gathering for dinner and some strategizing on Tuesday, May 14th at 6:30pm. A new night and time but at one of our favorite spots the Trailyard Restaurant just outside of Valparaiso. The Trailyard is located at 2551 Clifford Road, at the end of Frobrerg Road south of Lincolnway. The NWI Green Party has begun working with local bicyclists to advocate for a 3-mile dedicated trailhead from Hobart's Festival Park to Three Rivers County Park. We will be sharing the progress of our initial meetings on this proposal. Come and join us at one of the tables as we try out a Tuesday evening gathering at the Trailyard. |
