In 2001 a group of environmental activists and community advocates filed with the Indiana Elections Division. The Indiana Green Party became official as a political party. Throughout 2026 we are celebrating our 25 years of planting our Green values. The dedication of so many people to march for environmental rights, to run for elected office and to sit through many, many meetings is the seed that has been planted in our Hoosier soil for a Greener, Healthier and Inclusive Indiana. Let’s build our excitement in 2026 for our next 25 years and beyond!
 

Michael with our NWI Indiana Green local has been digging through the archives of old websites in order to reconstruct our history. Piecing together old news articles, meeting minutes and the odd bit here and there, that work can been added as a History page of our website.
